Today can be the BEST Valentines of your life if you choose to make today the day you draw a line in the sand, get off the fence, start a new chapter, turn over a new leaf & take a stand... Are you ready?
If you answered YES - then here is what you can do to make this the best Valentines EVER:
1. Let go of the past. Take a moment to write down everything that you are currently beating yourself up for, regretting, or wishing was different. Take this paper and throw it out into the ocean, the lake, or tie it to a rock and toss it in the river. Stuff it in a balloon and let if fly away. Burn it and blow the ashes to the wind. Phew.. your done. It's forever gone now.
2. Accept yourself for who you are right now. That's right, forget all this waiting, all this hoping and all this wishing that you were somehow different. Toss away all this effort to be a "better person" or fit into the way someone else wants you to be. *uck it. You are perfect just the way you are. Your faults, your shortcomings, your fears... - yup, they are perfect too. Deeeeeep breath... and them Mmmm Mmmmmm - can you feel it? That acceptance sure does feel YUMMY!
3. Fall in Love. With you. Yes, that is right. Fall in love with yourself. It is the one relationship that you are guaranteed will last forever, so make it the relationship of your dreams. Everything that you've been wanting from another - from a partner - Give it to yourself. Give yourself the love, the acceptance, the time, the energy, the adoration, the respect, the commitment that you want. It's about time.
Happy Valentines Day!
