How do you Celebrate?
Do you know how many times a day you succeed?
Most of us don't focus on how amazing we are. We are constantly doing things to move ourselves forward into the lives we want - but we rarely have a plan in place for celebration.
When we celebrate our successes, we allow ourselves to vibrate at that high-level of success, thus pulling more success towards us! Wow, how great is that? We get to party-it-up, have fun, toot our own horn and those actions bring us MORE of what we want? Cool!
So, how do you celebrate? This is something I always set up with my clients during our first session. I say, "So, since your going to be having amazing successes over the next few months of our relationship, how do you want to celebrate that? Most of the time I get a pretty blank reply - but after a few months, my clients have learned to shake-their-shimmy and shine-their-mojo and really feel to the core of there being their successes.
Here are some great ideas for how to celebrate:
1. Create a Victory Dance
2. Select a Theme Song (I personally think everyone should have a theme song!)
3. Get a recording of canned applause or laughter, listen to it, and say "Thank you, Thank you, very much" in your best Elvis voice
4. Write an acceptance (for being awesome) speech
................and many more, get creative & invite your families and friends to join you!
Here is when to use your celebration tactics:
1. You made a phone call you've been dreading
2. You finally cleaned the garage
3. You spoke your mind at a business meeting
4. You were clear with your spouse about your needs
5. You created and stuck by your boundaries with your kids
.............. This list is endless - You are succeeding everyday!
This last weekend, I had a chance to celebrate my full-page article in the newspaper. I had a champagne breakfast with my peeps (my husband, my son & our housemate), I played my theme song and danced my theme jig, I lingered over a second cup of coffee on the porch with my husband & then I went on a short bike ride all by myself & just sucked up the goodness.
Go out there and celebrate today, you deserve it!
