1. Don't take things personally. No really, Don't.
Cultivate a strong sense of self. Know who you are. What other people say, think and believe about you has nothing to do with you, and ultimately no impact on who you are. Allow others to think and feel whatever they want. Stop wasting energy trying to make people like you and invest that energy in pursuing your dreams.
2. Love Objectively, not subjectively.
When you love something or somebody, YOU get to experience that love. If you like 'being in love' then choose to love. Period. Regardless of the person or thing in front of you. Love because you choose to, not because they "deserve it". Love everything that comes into your life. This is the most powerful place that you can operate from.
3. Don't believe everything that you think or feel.
Your thoughts and feelings are guideposts, not dictators. You are the ultimate authority on which ones to keep and grow. Imagine that your thoughts and feelings are a buffet. Choose the ones that taste good, and let the other ones pass you by.
4. Become incredibly "selfish".
Know your needs and get them met. Take exquisite care of yourself. Become so full and overflowing with you that you are able to have a positive impact everywhere you go without even trying. The best way to be of service to others is to fill yourself up to overflowing.
5. Surround yourself with positivity.
Stop watching sensationalized news. Stop watching scary movies. Stop listening to music with negative depressing lyrics. Instead surround yourself with positive input, and watch as it blossoms positivity in every area of your life.
